I have this same issue and I’m pushing myself to be more open with people. I’m very outgoing and fun at parties, but the minute someone wants to be in a more intimate setting with me, like a coffee date, I shut down.Exactly!! I’m personable and charismatic in class or at parties (depending), but one-on-one with someone I don’t know well? Makes me too nervous to even think about. Good luck on being more open with people! It’s hard but (I hope) the payoff is worth it.
